May 19 is Frog Jumping Jubilee Day

Mark Twain wrote about the frog jumping contest in “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County” in 1865 which took place in Angels Camp, a gold rush town. As the story goes Dan’l Webster had a frog that could out jump all other frogs.
