Independence Day Fireworks 2006

I am able to see a majority of my city's fireworks from my front lawn. This year I decided to try my hand at taking some pictures. I could hear my dad saying "You'll never get that to show up on film." Ah, but I'm not using film! This is digital photography!

So, my first few pictures looked like this...

All Black Almost All Black

At least I got a couple dots in the second photo, right? I quickly realized I needed to anticipate the fireworks - try and hit the button just before the fireworks blew up.

So, I have three sets of photos you can look at.

OOOOh Pretty ColorsOOOOH! Pretty Colors

These photos are the best ones I took. My hand tends to be a bit shakey - maybe someday I'll get a digital camera where I can adjust the shutter speed...

My neighbor who owns the store across the street from me thought it would be cool to take some shots with his lights on. So, here are those photos I took.
